Sheryl Roach aims to develop programs and services that positively impact the lives of children and their families

Trenton, NJ, September 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sheryl A. Roach, Licensed Professional Counselor and Director of Quality Assurance for the Children's Home Society of New Jersey, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in child welfare services.

Ms. Roach has cultivated her expertise in health and child welfare services throughout her two decades of professional experience. Formally a child protection case worker and supervisor for the Division of Youth and Family Services, she enjoys the challenge of her new position with the Children's Home Society of New Jersey. She serves as the Director of Quality Assurance for the non-profit organization, which provides an array of services to children and their families; ensuring the safety, security, good health, as well as cognitive, emotional and behavioral functioning in children throughout the state. The services the agency provides include adoption and post adoption services, foster care, birth parent counseling, child welfare services, early childhood and parenting, school based services, clinical and behavioral health, community based services, and Family Success and Parent Child Centers. Ms. Roach is responsible for the evaluation of 49 programs as well as oversight of intake statistics, administrative reporting, training, accreditation and planning and coordination of all program evaluations. She is also responsible for study design, implementation, data analysis, and report writing.

In recognition of her work, Ms. Roach was recently distinguished as a VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success. Ms. Roach attributes her accomplishments to her managerial and team building skills. She also credits the support she received from her parents and mentors.

Ms. Roach is pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Fielding Graduate University. In 1997, she earned a Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences from Kean University and she obtained her license as a Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey, soon after. She remains current in her field through affiliations with the American Counseling Association and the National Association of Forensic Counselors. Looking toward the future, Ms. Roach intends to utilize her skills, knowledge in the field, and her advanced degrees to develop programs and services that positively impact the lives of children and their families.
