Rebecca Devine recognized for dedication to special education advocacy
ARDMORE, PA, July 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rebecca Devine, Special Education Advocate for TEAMinclusion, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of her career.
For the last five years, Rebecca Devine has lent her expertise in special education law to TEAMinclusion, a special education advocacy firm. There, she thrives as special education advocate, responsible for consulting with parents of children with special needs, advising such parents on available programs, which include Gifted Education Plans and Birth to Three, helping to schedule individualized education plan meetings and working with schools to ensure that her clients receive the appropriate services. Additionally, she attends meetings regarding mediation, resolution sessions, behavioral health services, and can assist at due process hearings.
In a recent Cambridge interview, Ms. Devine revealed that she became inspired to work in special education through her experience raising her own child with special needs, her daughter. Today, she credits her success to her personal perspective, as well as her professional training. Ms. Devine holds a bachelor of science in medical technology from Thomas Jefferson University and is a certified histocompatibility technologist. Additionally, she is the co-chair of the Pennsylvania Right to Education Task Force IU # 25, is the education committee chair and board member of PA TASH, is vice president of the Pennsylvania's Education for All Coalition and is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children.
