Cynthia L. Michaud brings her expertise to the Alabama Department of Children's Affairs

MONTGOMERY, AL, July 27, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cynthia L. Michaud, Senior Accountant and Chief Financial Officer for the Alabama Department of Children's Affairs, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in finance management.

Driven by an interest in mathematics and accounting, Cynthia L. Michaud became involved in finance over 20 years ago. Now celebrating her fifth year with the Alabama Department of Children's Affairs, she utilizes her industry savvy to process payroll. She expertly provides the department with accounting and budgeting services and is especially skilled with regard to audits and report generation. In addition to her daily functions, Ms. Michaud is tasked with managing accounts payable.

A 1991 graduate of Auburn University Montgomery, Ms. Michaud holds a bachelor of business administration. Her professional affiliations include the Association of Government Accountants. She is completing her 25 years of service this year and will retire from state government service at the end of 2011. After a year break, Ms. Michaud intends to make a career shift into nursing. She would like to become a nurse practitioner and work in the field of obstetrics.
