Prior to her retirement, Carolyn L. Hunter gained an impressive 37 years of professional experience in the field of education. During her tenure with E.A. One such initiative came in the form of the National Math Bee, a computer-based competition in which students enter online battles to solve mathematics programs and increase their speed and accuracy. In a candid interview with Cambridge Publishing, Ms. Hunter communicated that teaching is about more than just rote material delivery; it is a combination of enriching experience and, most of all, fun! She considers guiding children away from their insecurities to be especially rewarding and is particularly proud of the regional and state awards that her students have won.

Ms. Hunter's work has not gone without formal recognition. She was named Teacher of the Year by E.A. Harrold Elementary School in 2005 and Professional of the Year in Elementary Education in 2008 by Cambridge Who's Who. In 2009 and 2010, Ms. Hunter was chosen to be featured in Cambridge Publishing's Calendar series. She was distinguished as an Elite American Educator and a VIP of the Year in 2010. In light of her numerous accomplishments, Ms. Hunter was recently selected to be featured in Pro-Files Magazine. Ms. Hunter considers her success to be a direct result of her passion for her profession.

Ms. Hunter holds a Bachelor of Arts in American history, a Bachelor of Science in education and a Master of Education plus 45 credits from the University of Memphis.
