Lois Thompson Johnson was appointed to an Alabama task force for post-Katrina educational initiatives
MONTGOMERY, AL, September 08, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lois Thompson Johnson, Parent Advocate and Liaison for the Student Office of Montgomery County Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education administration.
With over 33 years of specialized experience in education, Lois Thompson Johnson is responsible for developing intellectual and academic growth in students as well as educational programs for students and their families. She is highly regarded for her oversight abilities in the area of school-related legal issues as well as her desire to solve district-related problems and empathize with student, school and parent concerns. Having worked as a teacher, principal and federal program director, Ms. Johnson has devoted her long career to education, and she considers driving intellectual growth to help youths achieve their full academic and personal potential to be the most integral aspect of her work. She attributes her success to her education, experience and strong work ethic.
Ms. Johnson holds an educational specialist degree in administration and is pursuing a doctor of education. She was the recipient of the Comprehensive School Reform Development Grant Award, the Safe Schools and Healthy Students Grants Award, the Master Teacher Award and a Federal Grant Award. She was appointed to the state task force for intervention and support for post-Katrina initiatives and aspires to consult on the development of educational programs and intervention efforts for African American males.
