Stephanie N. Brett Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Stephanie N. Brett was honored for her work in authoring the RAMP application as a recipient of the RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program) by the American School Counselor Association
MALVERN, PA, August 20, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stephanie N. Brett, School Counselor at the Lower Merion School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in field of Counseling and Human Relations.
With 16 years of field experience, Ms. Brett initially became interested in counseling children as a result of her volunteer/philanthropic work with at-risk children. She currently provides responsive services, small group and individual counseling, individual student planning, and system support services for students and families within the Lower Merion School District. Ms. Brett coordinates a multitude of research-based, data-driven and school-based programs. She attributes her success to her commitment to children, belief in child advocacy, and passion for her chosen profession.
At Villanova University, Ms. Brett earned a Master of Arts in Counseling and Human Relations. She has co-authored and published research work and articles in a variety of journals throughout her career including: Perceptual and Motor Skills, the Obesity Journal, and the PSCA journal. She is a nationally certified school counselor, licensed professional counselor, master addictions counselor, certified supervisor of guidance services, and nationally certified school psychologist. Ms. Brett periodically volunteers her free time/charitable work to the Home of the Sparrow, Save the Whales, 10,000 Villages, and is affiliated with the Caron Foundation regional network provider list for families dealing with chemical dependency issues. Stephanie was previously nominated by the Pennsylvania School Counselor Association for a School Counselor of the Year Award. In the future, she hopes to expand her current, limited private practice which focuses on adolescent health/substance abuse counseling and intervention services to include offering family based custody evaluations in Chester County, PA.
