Joyce Mashburn Glaze-Shorey Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Joyce Mashburn Glaze-Shorey attained the Teacher's DARE Award

DICKSON, TN, August 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joyce Mashburn Shorey, Counselor (Retired) for Dickson County High School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in academic administration.

Utilizing 24 years of professional experience, Ms. Glaze-Shorey counsels students, teaches typing and general business classes, schedules for classes and coordinates high school preparatory programs. She received her Master of Arts in Education, with a concentration in School Counseling, fromTrevecca Nazarene University in 1991. She is a certified elementary school teacher, business teacher, and elementary and high school counselor. Formerly, was a member of the Tennessee Education Association, the Business Professors Association and The National Education Association.

Ms. Joyce has developed a lung condition, which has prevented her from being as active as she would like to be. However, she hopes to be able to volunteer and contribute in some way to children, the youth and future of tomorrow. She intends to help young children on a part-time basis or work for the registrar's office. Through the encouragement she receives from others, she has faith and continues to progress through her career, despite her condition and is pursuing a bridal consultant certificate.
