Thomas Grant Honored for Accomplishments in Educational Administration

COQUITLAM, BC, CANADA, July 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas Grant, Superintendent for the Coquitlam School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in educational administration.

For the past three years, Mr. Grant has served as the superintendent for the Coquitlam School District; comprised of 30,000 students, it has a graduation rate of 92 percent. In his position, Mr. Grant oversees the education, health and welfare of the district's students. He maintains public relations, coordinates with educational boards, and reviews and evaluates employee performances. Responsible for developing the curriculum, Mr. Grant also consults on curricula of other districts. With 34 years of field experience, he attributes his success to his determination, hard work and belief in the power of collaboration.

A graduate of Western Washington University, Mr. Grant received a master's degree in educational administration. He also earned a bachelor's degree in geography from Simon Fraser University. He is a member of the American Educational Research Association. In the future, Mr. Grant hopes to transform the Coquitlam School District into one of British Columbia's top districts. He would also like to gain recognition for his organization of educational processes.
