Teresa A. Campbell marks 21 years in education at Allen Elementary Preschool
ALLEN, KY, July 20, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Teresa A. Campbell, Teacher of the Head Start Program at Allen Elementary Preschool, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in early childhood education.
Prompted by a love of children, Teresa A. Campbell embarked on a career in education 21 years ago. She has devoted most of her professional life to the Floyd County Board of Education where, as a teacher at Allen Elementary Preschool, she implements and individualizes curricula to support each child's learning and developmental progress. A proponent of the Head Start program, Ms. Campbell focuses on children's social, emotional, cognitive and language development, as well as their fine motor and gross motor skills. Prior to assuming her current position, she worked as director of Betsy Layne Senior Citizens, as deputy clerk for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as a daycare assistant for University Kids, and as a library aide and substitute teacher for the Floyd County Board of Education.
Ms. Campbell received her bachelor of arts in education in 1998 from Morehead State University. She holds a professional school personnel certification, a professional certificate for interdisciplinary early childhood education (birth to primary), and a provisional certificate for teaching in the early elementary grades (K-4) and self-contained grades (5-6). Her professional affiliations include the Kentucky Education Association and the National Education Association.
