Mary Ann Hays, Retired Teacher, Now Turns her Attentions to Health Advocacy
Mary Ann Hays thrives in first year as Tobacco Control Liaison for Lincoln County Health & Human Services
HUGO, CO, July 20, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mary Ann Hays, Tobacco Control Liaison for the State Grant Program of Lincoln County Health & Human Services, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in health advocacy.
A retired school teacher with 32 years' experience in education, Mary Ann Hays is an expert on health awareness advocacy. She now lends her services to Lincoln County Health & Human Services, where she thrives in her first year as Tobacco Control Liaison for the State Grant Program. As such, she teaches and educates the community on the dangerous health effects of tobacco use and works in collaboration with school systems to do so.
Ms. Hays originally became involved in her profession through a part-time position that helped her to realize her interest in education and drug prevention. She credits her success to her working knowledge of the community and will seek to continue her work in community services in the years to come.
Ms. Hays holds a master of arts in computer science and is a member of the United Methodist Church.
