Alene Mason feels she has a strong impact on children's lives

CHICAGO, IL, July 28, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alene Mason, Principal of Scott Joplin Elementary School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

With 12 years of professional experience, Ms. Mason attributes her success to the support she receives from her co-workers. As the principal of Scott Joplin Elementary School, she is in charge of instructional leadership, overseeing operations including professional development and academic enhancement, empowering parents, and increasing parental involvement.

Ms. Mason received her Master of Education from Saint Xavier University, where she was inducted into the National Honor Society. She received her Master's Degree in Supervision and Instruction from Concordia University, and her Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Illinois. She is a member of the Chicago Principals & Administrators Association, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
