Elaine G. Young Honored for Accomplishments in Social Work
Elaine G. Young has attained the Dynamic Women in Community Award

NEW YORK, NY, July 07, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elaine G. Young, Social Worker for The City of New York, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in public services.

With 20 years of professional experience, Ms. Young serves as a social worker for The City of New York. She mentors youth in the community, works in a shelter, assists individuals with mental illness as well as victims of domestic violence, collaborates with private agencies and helps young pregnant and parenting teenagers. She believes that looking for the good in a person enables them to succeed, and her co-workers know she can help those who seem unreachable. By being herself and treating her patients with respect, she is able to assist them.

Ms. Young completed coursework in social work at Fordham University in 1989. She is a member of the Brooklyn Vanderveer-Glenwood Lions Club, the largest service organization in world for blind people, and she attributes her success to her desire to treat others with respect. In the coming years, she intends to continue growing as a social worker.
