Cassandra D. Dodson celebrates 30 years in counseling
POWHATAN, VA, June 11, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cassandra D. Dodson, Rehabilitation Counselor (Retired) for the Department of Juvenile Justice, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in rehabilitation services.
Currently retired, Ms. Dodson worked as a rehabilitation counselor of 30 years. In her vocation, she counseled juveniles, conducted group therapy sessions and advocated for juveniles and their families. She decided to pursue her profession through her interest in helping young troubled children, and she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Longwood University in 1979. She is a member of the Ruritan National, Circle of Friends, Prayer Shawl and Congregational Care Ministry and the Powhatan Leadership Institute,. She attributes her success to the values instilled in her by her father. In the future, she intends to focus on giving back to her community.
