Abby Dewees to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry

LEXINGTON, KY, June 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Abby Dewees, Third-Grade Teacher for Fayette County Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

With nine years of professional experience, Ms. Dewees attributes her success to having a great mentor and to the support she received from her collegues and peers. As a third-grade teacher, she focues on reading and writing, using a lot of Q and A strategies, while doing group work. She also worked as an academic team coach at her current school for four years.

Ms. Dewees has a history of educators in her family. Both of her parents are elementary music teachers and her twin brother is a high school teacher. She received her Master's Degree in Elementary Education, with speciality in Reading and Writing, in 2005 from Georgetown College. In 2001, she received her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Kentucky. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Who's Who Among America's Teachers.
