Paul V. Sandstrom celebrates a successful career as a counselor in the juvenile criminal justice system

TULSA, OK, May 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Paul V. Sandstrom, Licensed Professional Counselor at the Office of Juvenile Affairs, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in juvenile counseling.

As a licensed professional counselor for the Office of Juvenile Affairs, Mr. Sandstrom is responsible for following high-profile media cases concerning juvenile offenders including first-degree murder, rape and arson, conducting forensic evaluations for courts and counseling sex offenders. He also volunteers his time spreading environmental awareness and promoting animal welfare programs. He attributes his success to his determination, perseverance and being the best at what he does. He also provides consultation to the district court, district attorney's office and criminal defense attorneys.

Mr. Sandstrom received his Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern State University in 1993 and his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Oklahoma State University. He is a certified juvenile sex offender treatment provider and a national board certified counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors. A licensed professional counselor since 1995, he is a member of the Northamerican Association of Masters in Psychology, the National Board for Certified Counselors and the Professional Psychologist Certification Board. He is also a National Board Certified Psychologist and a member of American Mensa LTD. Mr. Sandstrom intends to continue training and speaking and participating in more conferences. He also hopes to consult for criminal defense attorneys after retirement and start his own private practice.
