Karen P. Vertreese Recognized for Excellence in Education
Karen P. Vertreese is the department chair in the foreign language department at Wake County Public Schools
RALEIGH, NC, May 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Karen P. Vertreese, Teacher, Chairwoman Wake County Public School System, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
With 38 years of professional experience, Ms. Vertreese specializes in teaching French and Spanish. In addition, she reviews current events with her students. She was inspired by her mother, a high school librarian, to puruse her career, and she attributes her success to her hard work and desire to teach children.
Ms. Vertreese received her Master's Degree in French from the University of North Carolina in 1993. She is a national board certified teacher and a member of the North Carolina Association of Educators, the Foreign Language Association of North Carolina and the American Association of Teachers of French. In the future, she intends to teach at a college on a part-time basis and spend time traveling.
