Barbara A. Holthaus speciaizes in working with at-risk students

MARSHALLTOWN, IA, May 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Barbara A. Holthaus, At-Risk Teacher and Coordinator for Marshalltown Community School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in elementary education.

Barbara A. Holthaus has devoted most of her 12-year career to Marshalltown Community School District. An at-risk teacher and a coordinator at Miller Middle School, she is charged primarily with teaching all subjects to seventh- and eighth-grade at-risk students, including physical education and social skills. Ms. Holthaus obtained her bachelor's degree in education in 1985 from the University of Northern Iowa. She attributes her success to the support that she received from her grandmother.

In five years, Ms. Holthaus hopes to pursue her master's degree and take on work that makes an even bigger impact on children.
