/Childrens Issues News Articles/ -- Chicago, IL, April 23, 2009, Kimberly J. Enck, AVID District Certification Manager of the Chicago Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in educational leadership.
Kimberly J. Enck has worked for the Chicago Public Schools since 2003. Currently, she manages and coordinates the certification process for the schools within the district that implement the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Program. A gifted classroom instructor, Ms. Enck attributes her success to her upbringing, work ethic and to the support she receives from her parents and mentors.
Ms. Enck is pursuing a Master of Education in Educational Leadership to supplement the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction she received from the American College of Education in 2008. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary English Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at Southwest Minnesota State University. A member of the Illinois Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the National Council of Teachers of English, Ms. Enck was honored with a Delivering Results through Innovative and Visionary Education (DRIVE) Award from the Chicago Public Schools in 2007 and was a nominee for the 2007 Golden Apple Award.
