Dr. Gary M. Freudenthal is writing a book on his mother's evasion from Nazi Germany

OLD SAYBROOK, CT, March 31, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gary M. Freudenthal, MA, Psy.D., Clinical Psychologist for Confidential Counseling and Harvest Healthcare, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in clinical psychotherapy.

With 23 years of professional experience, Dr. Freudenthal provides clinical psychotherapy to families, couples, teenagers and the geriatric population. He consults to nursing homes, and educates professionals and families about dementia. As his mother was a Holocaust survivor, he has been interested in helping others locate survivors and aiding their families. He is currently writing a book about his mother and her escape from Nazi Germany, in addition to a book called the Alzheimer Caregivers Survival Handbook. He also expects to publish a copendium of poetry on Judaism, Love and Psychic travel.

Dr. Freudenthal completed his post-doctoral fellowship at Yale University. He also attained his Doctor of Clinical Psychology in 1992 at the University of Chicago. His Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology is from Roosevelt University, and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is from the University of Cincinnati. He became a licensed clinical psychologist in 1995. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, The International Society for Clinical Hypnosis and the International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect. He attributes his success to his hard work, passion for helping others and his parents' unconditional love and support. In the future, he intends to publish his work and lecture nationally and internationally at colleges and universities.
