Marci D. Ward Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Elementary Education
Marci D. Ward, specialist in space science enrichment, serves as her students' liaison to the Space Foundation

FAIRBANKS, AK, December 08, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marci D. Ward, Teacher for the Catholic Schools of Fairbanks, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in elementary education.

A recipient of the District and State Teacher of the Year award from the VFW, Marci D. Ward is known for her expertise in space science enrichment. She brings 26 years of experience in education to the Catholic Schools of Fairbanks, where she is a teacher at the Immaculate Conception Grade School. Charged with teaching all third-grade subjects, Ms. Ward is responsible for conducting classes and serving as the students' and teachers' liaison to the Space Foundation. She considers attending the National Space Symposium to be the highlight of her career to date, and attributes her success to hard work and a lifelong desire to become a teacher.

Ms. Ward received a Bachelor of Education in 1983 from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks and is a certified elementary education teacher for grades K-8. She is a member of the National Science Teachers Association. Recently, she was inducted as a VIP member by Cambridge Who's Who.
