UNIONTOWN, KS, November 11, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jackie Hall, Teacher and Coach at West Bourbon Elementary School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of elementary education.

A 29-year veteran of school athletics, Jackie Hall specializes in elementary physical education. She has devoted most of her career to West Bourbon Elementary School, where she teaches P.E. to students from kindergarten to junior high and serves as junior high athletic director. Also an experienced coach, Ms. Hall coaches volleyball in the fall and junior and high school track in the spring. She is proud of her long association with West Bourbon, a school with a staff united in the belief that students should excel not only in academics but in sports and extracurricular activities as well. Ms. Hall attributes her longevity to the support of her colleagues, friends and mentors and to the inspiration that she received from her first role models: her mother, who was a music teacher, and her father, who was a coach and teacher.

Ms. Hall earned her master of education, with a concentration in physical education, in 1989 and her bachelor's degree in education in 1982, both from Pittsburg State University. She was recognized by her alma mater with an Outstanding Young Educator Award. Her professional affiliations include the Kansas Volleyball Association, the Kansas National Education Association, the Kansas Association for Health, Physical Education and Recreation, the Kansas Volleyball Coaches Association, the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, Ruritan National, the National Education Association, and the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
