Cecilia Bangloy-Ratum was an educator and counselor in the Philippines

/Childrens Issues News Articles/ -- SAN FRANCISCO, CA, January 4, 2010, Cecilia Bangloy-Ratum, Retired School Psychologist for the San Francisco Unified School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in child psychology.

With 37 years of experience in her field, Ms. Bangloy-Ratum specializes in counseling and psychology. At the San Francisco Unified School District, she served as a school psychologist, counselor and teacher. In her position, she was responsible for counseling students and consulting with their family members. Ms. Bangloy-Ratum also worked as a Pilipino bilingual school psychologist, assisting students of different ages and ethnicities. Before working in San Francisco, she was an educator and counselor in the Philippines.

In 1975, Ms. Bangloy-Ratum earned a Master of Education in Elementary Counseling from San Francisco State University, she also completed the school of psychology program from the University of San Francisco in 1981. A nationally certified school psychologist, she is on the board of directors for the California Retired Teachers Association. A member of the National Association of School Psychologists, Ms. Bangloy-Ratum is in the process of writing an autobiography.
