Nail T. Castillo-Pacheco Honored for Accomplishments in ESL Instruction
Nail T. Castillo-Pacheco Specializes in ESL for Elementary School Students
BRONX, NY, December 4, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ --Nail T. Castillo-Pacheco, Teacher for Public School 90 George Meany School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of ESL instruction.
With 17 years of experience as an educator, Nail T. Castillo-Pacheco specializes in teaching English as a Second Language to elementary school students. She lends her talents to Public School 90 George Meany School, where she is tasked primarily with teaching ESL to students from kindergarten to the fourth grade and developing their learning skills and language through listening, speaking, reading and writing activities. Prior to venturing into education, Mrs. Castillo-Pacheco worked in business management. She attributes her successful transition to her upbringing and educational background.
Mrs. Castillo-Pacheco earned her Master's Degree in Bilingual Education in 1997 from Fordham University and her Bachelor of Arts in Business Management in 1992 from Herbert Lehman College. She holds certifications in Teaching English as a Second Language and Bilingual Extension, as well as a Common Branches Certification for nursery to the sixth grade. Her professional affiliations include the New York State Association for Bilingual Education, the National Education Association, Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, the United Federation of Teachers, and the American Federation of Teachers. Recently, she was honored by Cambridge Who's Who with induction as a VIP member. She names St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as her favorite charity.
Away from work, Mrs. Castillo-Pacheco enjoys spending time with her 7-year-old twin boys Sebastian and Sergio. In five years, she would like to obtain a second master's degree, this time in guidance counseling.
