Candes L. Reid Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Candes L. Reid has devoted her career to counseling children and young adults

MAPLEWOOD, NJ, November 6, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Candes L. Reid, Program Manager at The ARC of Essex County, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in community development.

As a program manager at The ARC of Essex County, Ms. Reid is responsible for managing children and adults in hotel respite programs, supervising 10 staff members, counseling and mentoring children and adults ages 10 to 21, and helping children and adults to develop socially appropriate behaviors and interpersonal skills on how to use recreation and leisure time. With 26 years of experience in her field, she is an expert in counseling and special education. Previously, she taught special education at schools, group homes and day care centers. She attributes her success to her hard work, dedication and to her love for her profession and people.

Ms. Reid completed coursework in special education at William Paterson University. She intends to obtain a degree in counseling.
