FEASTERVILLE TREVOSE, PA, July 2, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lynn C. Billingham, Guidance Counselor for Sunnybrae Elementary School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of school counseling.

Inspired by a love of working with children, Mrs. Billingham left a career as a teacher and returned to college to earn a degree in counseling. She has 20 years of experience as a counselor, with the last eight of these years spent in her current position at Sunnybrae. An expert in problem-solving, she counsels students individually and in groups, teaches the developmental guidance program, manages a crisis response team, and arranges transportation for students after school. Mrs. Billingham, who taught home economics for many years, considers helping children to be the most gratifying aspect of her work as a counselor. She attributes her success to the values that her parents had instilled in her.

Mrs. Billingham received her Master of Science in 1977. She is a member of the Mercer County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association and the National Education Association, and sits on the board of the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences. Mrs. Billingham plans to retire and volunteer her time with third-grade and special education students.
