Michelle M. Silva Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Michelle M. Silva excels in all aspects of education

CHAPEL HILL, NC, June 4, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michelle M. Silva, Kindergarten Teacher for St.Thomas More School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of education.

With 25 years of experience in the education field, Ms. Silva specializes in language arts, creative writing, illustration and teaching first- through third-grade students. Currently, she is responsible for teaching 24 kindergarten students at St.Thomas More School. Ms. Silva serves on several different committees with the school and is also on the new building project committee. In 2005, she was awarded the Lewis Award for The Catholic Diocese of Raleigh in recognition of her excellence in teaching. She was also a nominee recipient for Teacher of the Year in 1995 for Palm Beach County Public Schools.

Ms. Silva received her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from SUNY New Paltz in 1984. She is an assistant Daisy Girl Scout Leader and sits on the advisory board for the National League of Junior Cotillion.
