Avie Lumpkin reaches out to special needs children through Learning Challenges

ALAMEDA, CA, June 9, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Avie Lumpkin, Owner of Learning Challenges, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of education.

Retired since 2002, Ms. Lumpkin specializes in teaching reading and writing to children. As the owner of Learning Challenges, she is responsible for working with special needs children who are unable to reach success in a regular school setting. Before her retirement, Ms. Lumpkin taught in the classroom at a public school and also worked as a resource specialist. She became involved in her profession because of her love for children and attributes her success to her natural gift for teaching.

Ms. Lumpkin received her Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, her Master's Degree in Special Education from Saint Mary's College of California and her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Lamar University.
