Pasquale A. Emiro Honored for Accomplishments in School Counseling
Pasquale A. Emiro Releases Book Entitled "The Finger of God: My Driven Odyssey toward Deliverance"

HAVERHILL, MA, May 15, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pasquale A. Emiro, Retired Guidance Counselor from Haverhill High School, was recently featured in the Cambridge Who's Who Top 101 Industry Experts book. Prior to his retirement, Pasquale A. Emiro gained an impressive 43 years of professional experience in counseling and education. During his tenure at Haverhill High School, he was responsible for assisting students with college placement, organizing freshmen orientation programs, identifying behavioral problems, and coordinating summer school and night school schedules. Additionally, he consulted with teachers, principals and parents and provided students with career counseling. He brought to this position many years of experience as an evening school principal, a school adjustment counselor, a project reading coordinator, a licensed school psychologist for testing preschool children, and a special education administrator.

In addition to his career in the education field, Mr. Emiro served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He also spent four years in the Marine Corps and was honorably discharged after being wounded in combat. A published author, he wrote an anthology of poems entitled "Expressions from His Heart" and a book called "The Finger of God: My Driven Odyssey toward Deliverance," a work that details how God guided him toward personal fulfillment. Mr. Emiro considers having his work published to be particularly rewarding and attributes his success to his unwavering faith. In recognition of his accomplishments in his field, he received a Citation for Exemplary Work as an Educator by the Legislation of Massachusetts and was selected for inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Top 101 Industry Experts Book.

A registered school psychologist, Mr. Emiro earned his Master's Degree in Education in 1959 and his Bachelor of Science in Education and Social Studies from the College of the Holy Cross in 1956. He is certified in general education and is a certified special needs teacher, special needs administrator, guidance counselor, elementary, middle school and high school administrator. Actively involved in his community, he is a member of the Haverhill Democratic City Committee and the Holy Family Catholic Parish. He is also an avid supporter of the Catholic Men's Group and Disabled American Veterans.
