New Teen-Aiders Foundation Announces Dates for it's Spring 2009 Session
A new charitable organization, whose focus is addressing the problem of child homelessness in Lake County, IL, has been established in Lake Forest.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL, January 25, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A new charitable organization, whose focus is addressing the problem of child homelessness in Lake County, IL, has been established in Lake Forest. Following President Barack Obama's the "Call to Serve," Teen-Aiders is a philanthropic organization providing Lake County, Illinois teens (called Teen-Aiders) with a coordinated program to educate them about the realities of child homelessness in our community. Teen-Aiders will run two ten-week programs each year during the Spring and Fall. During ten Saturday mornings, the teen volunteers will conceptualize and implement a fundraiser for this cause while being guided by our Adult Mentors. To help the teens build awareness and appreciation for the importance of the cause that they are supporting, they will also participate in volunteer activities in the community, such as working in a soup kitchen and interacting with those children who are in need of our aid.

Teen-Aiders is now accepting applications for Teens and Adults that are interested in volunteering in the Spring 2009 Session. An adult planning meeting will be held on January 29, 2009 at 5:30 pm in Gurnee, IL. Teen activities will be held on the following Saturday mornings:

Feb 7, 14, 21 and 28

March 3, 7, 14, and 21

April 11, 18 and 25

Adults or Teens interested in volunteering should contact Eric Lockwood at 847-924-9003.
