Ms. Schofield is proud to lend her talents to Casey Family Programs, a foundation dedicated to serving children, youth, and families and to promoting advances in child welfare practice and policy. As managing director, she is primarily responsible for developing national programs and overseeing foster care reduction with state and federal policy makers. Ms. Schofield brings to her position 18 years of experience in government, having previously served the U.S. Department of Justice as an Assistant Attorney General, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, and the U.S. Department of Education. She attributes her success to her consistency, personality and integrity.
A product of Jackson State University, Ms. Schofield completed her MBA in 1990. She is affiliated with Delta Sigma Pi and Omicron Delta Kappa, and volunteers regularly with the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation and the Jackson State University Women's Council for Philanthropy. Her goals for the future include promoting strategic plans that will cut the number of children in foster care by 50 percent.
