/Childrens Issues News Articles/ - Detroit, MI, September 10, 2008, Tracey M. Diebel, Teacher for Hanstein Elementary School of Detroit Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of education.

With more than 16 years of professional experience, Ms. Diebel specializes in teaching reading and is responsible for working as a test coordinator, teaching third-grade students and caring for children. She became involved in her profession because of her interest in teaching. Ms. Diebel previously taught elementary education to kindergarten through third-grade students in various schools for eight years. A member of Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church & School and Compassion International, she has been a member of the bell choir for 15 years. Hanstein Elementary School performed an original opera along with the Michigan Opera Theatre this year entitled "The Ringer of the Moon" and also participated in "Project Inside Out," when the school published a book of poems entitled "Moonringer."

Ms. Diebel considers helping children reach their potential to be the most gratifying aspect of her career and attributes her success to her hard work, learning skills, caring nature and her ability to face challenges. She stays current with the trends in her profession by enrolling in continuing education courses and feels that the lack of emphasis and importance placed on schools is the most important issue facing her profession today. Also a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary VFW, Ms. Diebel hopes to grow professionally in the future.
