/Childrens Issues News Articles/ - Hillsborough, NJ, August 23, 2008, Colleen T. Bain, Sole Proprietor of Enhanced Learning Skills for Kids, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of working with students with disabilities.

Originally in business management working as a subject matter expert and trainer, Mrs. Bain entered the special education field to support and empower children with special needs. Her own children have special needs and it seemed only natural to return to school for her Masters in Special Education. She excels in helping students become empowered, self-confident participants within the learning process.

As a special educator, Mrs. Bain develops individualized education program curriculum based on state-standards and program objectives. Using a multisensory approach, Mrs. Bain provides her students with hands-on training using visual and whole brain integration that enhances their learning capabilities. She believes assessment is important to provides a strong base for developing and planning strategic methods towards the successful delivery of content.

Mrs. Bain received her Master of Arts in Special Education Cross-Categorical from the University of Phoenix with a grade point average of 3.9 in 2007 and her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from New York Institute of Technology with a grade point average of 3.8 in 1996. She is affiliated with many organizations some of which include, The Opsoclonus Myoclonus Support (OMS) Network, the National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET), the National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD), the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), the Brain Injury Association of New Jersey (BIANJ) and Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD).

Mrs. Bain credits her success by her ability to observe, assess, coach and evaluate students needs successfully. Her passion to empower her students to always believe in themselves fuels her efforts towards accomplishment. Her present endeavor is within Processing and Cognitive Enhancement (PACE). Mrs. Bain is helping students strengthen their weakened learning skills, create new neural pathways and become active participants in the learning process and succeed in life.
