President of Cambridge Who's Who, Randy Narod says, "Cambridge Who's Who feels privileged to support Toys of Hope. One reason we're sponsoring this event is that Toys of Hope is run entirely by volunteers."
/Childrens Issues News Articles/ - Uniondale, NY, August 8, 2008, Cambridge Who's Who is a leading global networking organization for executives, professionals and entrepreneurs worldwide. Not only does Cambridge Who's Who enhance the lives of its members by providing valuable branding and networking services, but Cambridge Who's Who also enhances the lives of needy families in its local community. Toys of Hope, a Long Island-based not-for-profit, named Cambridge Who's Who as a King Sponsor of the 2007 Toys of Hope Oheka Castle Holiday Party. The holiday party is an invitation-only event where needy children and their families are able to enjoy themselves and meet children's characters as well as known sports figures and celebrities. Children also receive gift bags filled with toys and books that are donated by individuals, corporations and event sponsors.
The mission of Toys of Hope is to provide toys, books, clothing and essential household items to needy and homeless children and their families. This helps them to become more self-sufficient and improve their lives. President of Cambridge Who's Who, Randy Narod says, "Cambridge Who's Who feels privileged to support Toys of Hope. One reason we're sponsoring this event is that Toys of Hope is run entirely by volunteers, including its President, Melissa Doktofsky. We are also impressed that 100% of all financial and in-kind contributions goes to the children and their families." Cambridge Who's Who learned about Toys of Hope through former employee, Tina Alfano, who served as vice president of Toys of Hope while working at Cambridge.
In addition to the donation, Narod personally contributed a toy for each of the 350 children who were expected to attend the party. He purchased the toys at My Toy Store located in Alberton, New York. Owner Michael Robinson also contributed to the cause by offering a discount on the Narod's purchase. To raise more toys for the event the employees of Cambridge Who's Who conducted a toy drive. The 200 employees were able to gather a huge collection of items for the event as well as make additional donations to support the programs and services that Toys of Hope provides. "If we can bring joy to these children, we've done something to make Long Island a better place to live," said Narod.
Toys of Hope is a not-for-profit corporation registered with the State of New York and the IRS. All donations are tax-deductible to the maximum allowed by law.
