With more than 26 years of professional experience, Mr. Pierson specializes in helping and educating underprivileged people. He has worked with Dr. Richard Green, the first black chancellor of New York, served as an advisor to former New York City Mayor David Dinkins and held a position as an assistant to the president of the Board of Education. Mr. Pierson became involved in his profession out of an interest in administration and attributes his success to his caring and helping nature. He considers playing a role in education decentralization and his involvement with the Crusaders Democratic Club to be his greatest professional accomplishments. He feels that decentralization is the most important issue facing his profession today.

Mr. Pierson completed coursework in business at the City College of New York and is affiliated with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. He stays current with the trends in his profession by interacting with people in the education field.
