Breana Coombs Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Secondary Education

/Childrens Issues News Articles/ - Rutland, VT, May 31, 2008, Breana Coombs, Spanish Teacher for Rutland High School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of secondary education.
During her career in education, Ms. Coombs has honed an expertise in teaching Spanish culture. She attributes her success to her self-motivation. Prior to joining Rutland High School, Ms. Coombs studied abroad in Mexico at La Universidad De Las Americas. She has performed volunteer work in an orphanage in El Salvador and will be returning to Mexico this summer with a local college to teach English to native adults and children. Ms. Coombs, a proponent of educational travel, stays abreast of trends in her industry by taking classes and attending conferences sponsored by the Vermont Teachers' Association.
A graduate of Saint Michael's College, Ms. Coombs earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in Global Studies. She is a member of several organizations including the Vermont Education Association, Phi Beta Kappa, Delta Epsilon Sigma, Delta Epsilon Sigma and Kappa Delta Pi. In the future, Ms. Coombs would like to earn her master's degree.
