Ms. Heilborn has more than 30 years of professional experience in education and six years of experience as a reading specialist for North Elementary School and Otay Elementary School in Chula Vista, CA. She is considered to be an expert in teaching reading and instilling positive discipline. Her daily responsibilities include collaborating with the faculty and administration, creating learning systems for students and communicating with parents to optimize student opportunities.

A licensed educator, Ms. Heilborn received her Master's Degree in Reading from the University of California in San Diego in 2003 and a Degree in Cross-Cultural Language Acquisition from the University of San Diego in 2001. She also holds a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Reading from Lincoln University, earned in 1999. Ms. Heilborn hopes to continue helping students with literacy and eventually begin a career in counseling. She attributes her success to her love for children, her knowledge and the support of her mother.
