A National Board-certified teacher, Ms. White holds a Master's Degree in Education from Mississippi College and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Belhaven College. She has 16 years of experience in education and three years of experience teaching gifted students in the second to fourth grades at Bentonia-Gibbs Elementary. Recognitions she has been honored with include a Kenneth B. Slaughter Academic Award for her 4.0 GPA, a nomination to Who's Who Among American Universities and Colleges, and Teacher of the Year Awards from the Yazoo County School District, Bentonia-Gibbs Elementary School and Madison County School District, East Flora. She expects to retire within the next five years, at which point she intends to enjoy more time with her grandchildren. She attributes her success to her passion for her profession and her love for children.
