Michelle Knopp, Honored Member of Cambridge Who's Who, Works to Improve Comprehensive English for the Clark County School District
Michelle Knopp is a recipient of the Office Max Teacher Award and was named Teacher of the Year by her colleagues


/Childrens Issues News Articles/ - Las Vegas, NV, March 9, 2008, Michelle Knopp, teacher for the Clark County School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for excellence in sheltered English instruction and multi-cultural education.

Just one year ago Oran K. Gragson Elementary School was 82 percent Hispanic, non-English speaking students. Ms. Knopp practices a style of teaching which incorporates non-English and English speaking students into cooperative learning teams and presently all the students are able to speak and comprehend English.

Ms. Knopp attributes her success to her ability to observe and monitor students' reading habits and help them to succeed in exams. She has a master's degree in counseling from the University of Phoenix, a bachelor of arts in Spanish and German from San Diego State University. Additionally, Ms. Knopp received the Office Max Teacher Award and was named Teacher of the Year by her colleagues. She was also a recipient of the Japan Fulbright Memorial Scholarship and National Board Certification.
